About the Event
World AIDS Day at Eagle is always a magnificent affair and 2021 looks set to be no different!
We've set a fundraising target of £10K over the next couple of weeks running right up until the big day itself - Wednesday 1st December.
Our finale this year is headlined by a true British icon of 80's pop - Denise Pearson from Five Star! She'll be performing her huge top 10 hits including 'Rain or Shine', 'The Slightest Touch', 'System Addict' and 'Can't Wait Another Minute.'
Also on our line-up for the evening is drag performers Mary Golds - Hostess of Cardiff's premier gay venue, Vivienne Lyndsey - Drag Idol Runner-Up and the amazing Dolly Diamond - Australia's favourite drag export. The Mother of Manchester drag Belinda Scandal will be also be joining in the fun with Blackpool's Marie La Rae and The Cockatoo Club's Missie Jay.
Vocalists Jacquii Caan - Stars in Their Eyes Winner and Kelly Wilde - 90's dance diva and LGBTQ+ ally will be on stage during teh course of the evening.
We're also really chuffed to be hosting the Manchester Lesbian and Gay Chorus for the first time, who'll be performing with a number of other acts still be announced.
As always Eagle's very own KY Kelly will be hosting the whole shebang - with guest spots throughout the night and giving away all the prizes in our legendary raffle.
Our event starts straight after the vigil which begins in Sackville Park at around 6pm. There'll be free mince pies and mulled wine for everyone from 6.45pm too (whilst stocks last). Please note that our traditional door policy is lapsed for this event.
The beneficiary of all our fundraising over the next few weeks is The Manchester World AIDS Day Partnership of The LGBT Foundation and The George House Trust.
